We’re a small crew totally obsessed with flamenco and sharing it’s magic with the world. Based out of Los Angeles, CA, we’ve been creating epic flamenco experiences since we kicked things off—think dance classes, tours to Spain, retreats, and more. Our mission? To get you hooked on flamenco’s passion, whether your just dipping your toes or already dancing bulerías in your sleep!
WHO WE ARE
I’m Laura, the heart behind Flamenkos. I fell hard for flamenco years ago and haven’t looked back. It’s not just dance—it’s a way of life, full of fire, stories, and community. Me and my team (a mix of dancers, musicians, and culture nerds) work to bring you authentic flamenco vibes, from the streets of Jerez to cozy retreats in Oregon. We’re not some big corporation—just real people who love what we do and wanna share it with you.
WHAT WE DO
We create flamenco adventures that stick with you. Picture this: learning soleá in a Seville studio, clapping palmas by the Oregon Coast, or catching a late-night tablao show in Granada. Our tours to Spain (4 awesome ones!) dive deep into Andalusian culture—think dance workshops, sherry tastings, and local hangouts. Back in the U.S., our retreats (3 of ‘em) are all about dancing, chilling, and connecting. Plus, we’ve got classes in Portland, a blog packed with flamenco goodies, and even cool tees for showing your love.
WHY FLAMENCO?
Flamenco’s got this raw, soul-shaking energy. It’s music, dance, and stories all wrapped into one, born from Andalusia’s heart. Whether it’s the stomp of a dancer’s shoes or the wail of a cantaor, it grabs you and don’t let go. We’re here to help you feel that, no matter where you’re from or if you’ve never danced a step. Our experiences are open to everyone—USA, Europe, Asia, you name it. If you love travel, culture, or just wanna try something new, your in the right place.
OUR STORY
Flamenkos started with a dream to make flamenco accessible. I was taking classes, traveling to Spain, and soaking up everything I could. But I noticed not everyone could just hop on a plane or find a teacher. So, I started Flamenkos to bring flamenco to you—whether through a tour, a weekend retreat, or a blog post about letras. Now, we’ve welcomed folks from all over, from total newbies to pros, and every time someone catches the flamenco bug, it feels like magic.
